The fourth of a series of library exhibits of W&M faculty publications opened in Swem Library in the spring of 2010. The exhibit features publications from faculty in the College of William and Mary’s Department of Religious Studies. The exhibit is located in the Bright Gallery in the second floor rotunda of the east wing of the library. Visitors will be impressed by the many hours of research and scholarship represented.

Marc Lee Raphael

Marc Lee Raphael is the Nathan Gumenick Chair of Judaic Studies. He has a B.A. from the University of California (Los Angeles), an M.A. from Hebrew Union College, and a Ph.D. from the University of California (Los Angeles). His area of specialization is Jews and Judaism in America. He taught at Ohio State University for a number of years before coming to William and Mary in 1989. Professor Raphael has been a visiting professor at a number of schools including the California State University (Northridge), the University of California (Los Angeles), the University of Pittsburgh, Brown University, and Oxford University.

Julie Galambush

Julie Galambush is the Alumni Memorial Distinguished Associate Professor of Religious Studies. She has a B.A. from Yale University, an M. Div. from Yale Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from Emory University. Her areas of specialization are the history and religion of ancient Israel and the Hebrew prophets. She has also written on the Jewish roots of the New Testament.
