Self Publish A Book
With a big budget what would be the best way to promote a self published book?
With a marketing budget of $10,000 how can I effectively market a self published book? I would like to utilize new technology such as the iPad and the Kindle. Any suggestions?
Here’s a true story. About ten years ago, a writer I knew had his book published — I think he selfl-published it — and got enough copies to fill his car. He then set out on a cross-country tour. He stopped at every bookstore he passed, went in, made his pitch, begged for an autographing session — at the time he said he was going to do this, I thought, “What madness!” That’s how much I knew! The guy not only sold a huge bunch of books, he made so many friends and acquaintances that he is now a sort of “name” author! Wow! Who woulda thunk it?
So from this we learn, think of something bizarre — it just might work for you.
