Poetry Book Publishers
I wrote a book of my poetry and I want to find a good publisher, got any suggestions?
I have wrote poems since the day I could first write and now I have a collection of actually really good poems. I was wondering what I should do next in putting together a book and finding a publisher. Suggestions?
Stay away from poetry.com and similar scams which follow its business model: accept all submissions and sell the authors overpriced books which contain them.
You can seek legitimate publication, but the odds of sale are nearly zero if you have not had any poetry published in a paying market.
Poetry is one of the rare types of writing in which there’s little shame in paying to publish your own chapbook. Poetry sells poorly, so very few publishers buy any. Poets at readings often have chapbooks for sale afterward.
